The Liquor Studio team is rarely at home watching TV on a Saturday night, but even we can't help noticing that every one wants to be a famous singer or be humiliated by a bitter celebrity judge. Well, we can't hold a note to save our lives and our dancing is dodgy at best but we do know what it feels like to be a rock star behind the bar!
First, we run through the essential techniques you need to get mixing, as well as an introduction to all of the tools of the trade. Then we’ll get you learning, mixing and drinking a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails that should give you the grounding you need to start creating your own drinks.
After a bite to eat, formed pairs and had a chance to grill the resident bartenders for pre match tips the competition will begin...
Messy muddling time trial.
scored on speed, accuracy and overall drink. one member of the team will go head to head with another rival team to see who has the meanest muddle.
Shoot off.
Three short, sharp, shooter needs to be created. One will be judged and the other two must be consumed.
Ready, Steady, Shake.
A mystery box of ingredients and three minutes to make a cocktail that inspires the group and judges.
The final showdown
With every thing still to play for we enter the final round which sees the contestants creating their own signature drink. The biggest scoring round and the chance to be immortalised in the Liquor Studio Gallery.
At the end of the session the overall winners will receive a cocktail kit to continue their journey to becoming a master of mixing and can every one else will come away with a new found love for cocktails, life, their colleagues and a lovely hangover to top it off.
